VEGA SDT - Born to be the leader

With the perseverance that has always identified BCS, we have developed the “SDT” design” with the objective of meeting the expectations of a range of users who, rather than ‘traditional isodiametric’ tractors, prefer machines with ‘odd’ wheels and a short wheelbase, which combine the basic characteristics of
‘conventional’ tractors with those inherent in tractors with ‘even’ wheels.
The range of “SDT” tractors comprises two types of machine: one the traditional version with steering wheels and one with the innovative DUALSTEER® steering system. The two versions, while retaining the “basic fundamentals” unchanged, are intended for a public with different types of user requirements, differentiated by the features of the plants and the morphology of the terrain.

PERFORMANCES: we've got the right figures!
High power: reliable and economical engines with lively torques that comply with the most stringent regulations in force. The use of rotating counterweights in all versions also eliminates vibrations in the
power units, thus favouring comfort.
Dualsteer® version machines to permit turning radii of more than 70 degrees. As well as being extremely easy to handle and practical to drive, the good points of this version are enhanced by theiruse on cross gradients, a feature that they share with caterpillar tractors.
Comfortable cabs characterized by excellent ergonomics and visibility. Also available in the compact version to limit the height to only 169 cm and work viably in farming areas where height remains an unavoidable limit for operating. Pressurization on request.
Service brakes on 4 wheels, with multiple discs in oil bath and hydrostatic control to optimize their reactivity and efficacy.
Front and rear wheels with marked dissimilarities so as to enhance the traction powers typical of ‘conventional’ tractors while keeping the qualities of “Isodiametric” tractors constant by exploiting the “short wheelbase” and “low centre of gravity”.
Abundant oil feed to the many distributors, both front and rear, with oversized hydraulic pumps, ensuring high pressures so that appliances can be used in combination.
Front wheel drive disengagement to make the machines even easier to handle, where fourwheel drive can be dispensed with, thus reducing fuel consumption.
Maximum towable weight confirming the “effectiveness” and “traction power” of the SDT series.
On-board electronics on request because future and performances increasingly depend on these new systems.
